Civic and Voter Education in Kenya in the lead up to the 2007 general elections

South Consulting was contracted to develop content for civic education in preparation for the 2007 general elections. South developed; National level curriculum which was cascaded to the constituency level, training materials, trainer’s Manual bearing the delivery methodology, implementation matrix for the civic education programme in order to facilitate effective monitoring and evaluation of the programme, the civic education strategy, logical framework comprising qualitative and quantitative indicators as well as baseline data. South Consulting also prepared popular materials, notably below-the- line-materials such as texts for posters and brochures. In the same year, UNDP and the Electoral Commission of Kenya contracted South Consulting to provide programme management of the consultancy services on the voter education programme.
